A limerick is a five-line humorous verse,
often nonsensical, which first appeared in
England about 1820 and was popularized by
Edward Lear. An example is: There was a young
man from Leeds, who swallowed a packet of
seeds, in a month oh alas, he was covered in
grass, and he even had one or two weeds.
